Vaishno Devi is the
core pilgrimage spot for the Hindus, situated at the northern part
of India. Millions of worldwide pilgrims come every year to take
blessing of Goddess Vaishno Devi. This number is frequently increasing

services in tandem. Located at Jammu and Kashmir Vaishno Devi is

to trek along with so many devotees, who prefers in engaging themselves
by singing religious songs, praising the goddess uncontrollably,

ponies. The temple is visited all through the year, but the trail
becomes hard during the winters when the road remains blocked by
snowfall.

Famous Pilgrimage Attraction of Vaishno Devi
Vaishno Devi Shrine: The Vaishno Devi Shrine
is located on the Trikuta Mountain positioned at 61 kms north
of Jammu. The temple bears 5,200 feet above the sea level and
13 kms from town Katra. Mata Vaishno Devis’ revered cave
shrine is 98 ft long and only 5 ft high. There remain three rock-imprinted
statues in the 100 feet long cave. Within the cave Mata
Vaishno Devi has converted herself in three forms as Maha Kali,
Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswati. The signs of Vakra Tunda Ganesha,
Surya Dev and Chandra Dev can also be seen at the mouth of the
original tunnel. The symbol of Lord Hanuman, entitled Launkra
Beer, is there and the pilgrims have to wade through water beyond
the Launkra Beer point.
The Yatri Niwas is managed by the shrine board to provide a lavish
accommodation for the domestic as well as international devotees.
Sticks or lathis are in use for trekking purpose. Devotees are
given the Darshan Slip from registration office to get the batch
number for a systematic and hassle free Mata Darshan.
After reaching to Bhawan the visitors have to present the slip
followed by bath to prepare for pooja, aarti and Darshan of Vaishno
Devi.
