The Renuka Lake (660m) in Himachal Pradesh is regarded as the embodiment
of Renukaji. Renukaji is the consort of the wise Jamadagini and
the mother of Parshuram, one of the ten Avatars of Lord Vishnu.
Fashioned like the profile of a woman, the lake has the boundary
of 2.5 km and is the largest in Himachal Pradesh. Renukaji is a
significant pilgrimage center affluent with temples and several
other religious sights. The devotees are also offered with Boating
and Trekking as a part of additional activity of Renukaji.

Parashurama Tal and Renuka Temple (100m): Parashurama
Tal and Renuka Temple is sited at the base of the
Renuka Lake is the major pilgrimage attraction of the place. The
temple is placed at a distance of 45 kms from the Nahan. In the
early 19th century. The original temple of Renukaji is overnight
built by a contingent of Gurkhas. Both mother and son are reunited
in the celebratory fair held in November every year. Now The Renuka
Temple, located in Himachal Pradesh is counted among one of the
most imperative pilgrimage destinations.
