Prime Pilgrimage Spots of Puttaparthi

Birth Place of Bhagavan Sai: Puttaparthi is rich with some world famous travel destinations as well as Pilgrimage spots. There remains a Shiva temple, which was considered as the source of Sathya Sai Baba. It is the real birthplace, not known to many, is placed across the river. The temple was opened for the visitors from 1979.

Sathyabhama Temple: Sathyabhama Temple is dedicated to consort of Lord Krishna and perhaps the only temple in India meant for Sathyabhama. The history behind making the temple lays as once Sri Kondama Raju, Bhagavan's grandfather, had a dream where he found Sathyabhama standing in heavy rain and wind, asking for shelter, this resulted creation of the temple for Sathyabhama.

Puttaparthi TempleSri Raju Kalyana Mandapam: It is the present abode of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Devotes used to reach Sri Raju Kalyana Mandapam, to get a glimpse of Baba. Bhagavan selected the new location for His Darshan, and the old Mandir has been used as Kalyana Mandapam (marriage hall) and allotted for free use for marriages in the village.

Anjaneya (Hanuman) Swamy Temple: Anjaneya (Hanuman) Swamy Temple located at a place in between Kalyana Mandapam and the Sathyabhama temple. The temple appears as if Anjaneya imprinted in a guha rests inside a cave designed with a pool of water at the feet of Anjaneya (Hanuman) representing the tears that he sheds in his love and desiring for Lord Rama. Here Bhagavan brought lord Shiva in the form of lingam.

Kalpa Vriksha: The Kalpa Vriksha, a celebrated place, as Bhagavan's life story was told to Professor Kasturi's Sathyam-Shivam-Sundaram series. Kalpa Vriksha, a wish-fulfilling tree and today the tree is a grand guard point over the Chitravathi stream.

Samadhi: This place of Puttaparthi is a pilgrimage sight for the Samadhi of Bhagavan's parents, Sri Pedda Venkappa Raju and Smt. Easwaramma. Bhagavan used to offer curtsy to His parents on His birthday and travel in parade to the Samadhi.

Sai Gita-The Elephant: Elephant is considered as highly clever animal they also represent intelligence and intellect. Sai Gita is Bhagavan's temple of elephant. It is measured as a fortunate temple, which have the real elephant living in the temple as a sign of Ganesh-the remover of obstacles.
