Pushkar is the only
pilgrimage spot, which hosts the temple of Lord Brahma in India
as well as in the world. There exist five main temples, many smaller
temples and 52 ghats where pilgrims immerse in the holy waters for
cleansing of body, mind and soul. The Pushkar city is positioned
at a distance of 11 km from Ajmer, on the rim of the desert, Rajasthan.

Prime Pilgrimage Attractions of Pushkar
Brahma Temple: Brahma temple is the primary temple
of Pushkar dedicated to Lord Brahma- the creator of Universe. There
are no other temples made to worship Lord Brahma apart from the
Brahma temple in Pushkar. It is regarded to be a very holy place
as Lord Brahma had performed a religious ritual here along with
other Gods. Lord Brahmas work and significance has made the place
a unique and extraordinary one. It is assumed that the Pushkar Lake
was created amazingly when a lotus fell down from the hands of Lord
Brahma.

Savitri Temple: This temple was created in honor
of Savitri- the wife of Lord Brahma. The temple is
made at the top of hillock surrounded by some magnificent views
of landscape. It also offers a panoramic view of the Pushkar Lake
at the time of dawn. A long series of stairs are made to reach the
temple more easily.
Waraha Temple: Waraha Temple, a famous Pilgrimage
spot of Pushkar is dedicated to the third incarnation of Lord Shiva,
It is said that Lord Vishnu as Waraha demolished the demon Hiranyaksha,
improved at a stolen Veda and saved the earth from drowning in the
ocean.
Rangji Temple: Rangji Temple contributes a lot
to the Pushkar Pilgrimage tour and travel as it offers some unique
architectural style. The temple is the finest example of Dravadian
art and architecture with a typical "Gopuram" (main temple
dome) rising at the top.
