Ayodhya-the birthplace
of Lord Rama is counted as one of the seven holiest cities in India.
Ayodhya a small quite town located on the southern bank of river
Saryu and placed at the center of Uttar Pradesh is successful in
attracting large array of pilgrims from all over the country. According
to the Ramayana, the ancient city Ayodhya was founded by Manu, the
lawgiver of the Hindus. Lord Rama-the seventh incarnation of Lord
Vishnu and his activities makes the place a popular pilgrimage center

There remain more than 100 temples in Ayodhya, Hanuman Gadhi, Jain

place’s significance. Ayodhya the old city of Uttar Pradesh
was the capital of the kingdom of Kosala. Later Kosala kingdom was
taken up by the powerful kingdom of Magadha, which corresponds the
districts of Patna and Gaya of Southern Bihar. Amid the places of
interest in Ayodhya some Hindu temples and bathing ghats (steps leading
down to the river). Lakshman Ghat, and Swarga Dwara (Rama Ghat) are
imperative ghats. Apart from the Ghats, there exists some kunds or
wells, which serve as bathing spots. Vasistha Kund is renowned among
them.

The association of Jainism in Ayodhya is accountable in emerging

Rama and Sita wearing gold crowns. Nageshwarnath Temple is worth
visiting place for its celebration of Shivaratri with great pomp
and splendor. One of the most mesmerizing places of Ayodhya, Ramkot,
is the most frequented religious site in Ayodhya, popular for ancient
fortress of Ramkot that stands on an elevated ground in its western
part. So several religions have grown and prospered simultaneously
at different periods of time in the past makes the place a world-class
travel destination.
